What can you do to interior doors to spruce them up ?

I have older thin white doors on all the bedrooms. I'm wondering if painting them a different color would work ?

You could put some decorative trim or decorative woodwork pieces. The wood pieces could be made to look like old metal. Keep your doors white. Or if you want them to disappear you could paint them the same color as your main walls. Not the inside of each room.
I put molding on my doors, makes them more attractive. Also could paint doos different color or same color as walls. Annie
