How to clean old laminate texturized flooring?

Moved into bachelor pad farm home. Floor probably has been un touched in years. the flooring design has grooves where it traps dirt & to get it out you have to pick or razor scrape it little by little. Didn’t know if there’s some cleaner that could quickly soak & knock it loose? Replacing yes would be my wish but not gonna happen any time soon :/

  • Ammonia & water with a scrub brush. It's work, but it will do the job!

I use any kind of brush, scrub brush, toothbrush, whatever that will get into the little indentations. Use some kind of cleaner, let it soak for a while, then scrub and rinse. This is what I have always done with that type of linoleum that is not easy to get clean and keep clean.

Agree, ammonia & vinegar, spray or slop it on and let it sit. It will loosen the trapped dirt and grunge. Have a hard bristle and soft bristle brush and scrub away.

I have found that the Dawn Ultra dish washing liquid soaks grime into softness. If you can't find Ultra, use any dawn.

Or there is a product called "Bar Keeper's Friend" that you can try. I use it dry on the inside of my pots and they are practically nonstick!

I used to have these floors. mix up a solution of water and tsp. Spread it on the floor and let it sit. You will see the dirt in the grooves loosen and float to the surface.

What is tsp? You said mix a solution of water & tsp?

i will try it all. I had done vinegar, not ammonia tho, but I tried baking soda, commet, Ajax, a degreaser, dawn, but not ultra & all worked if I scrubbed and picked and scraped inch by inch. But I will try all your ideas! thank you!

Trisodium Phosphate. It comes in a powder. Any hardware store should have it. Or order from Amazon.
