Thank you! I did see some planters which may work. I could add some seating also.

I would like: Sheer curtains at least on the sides. You can place them easily with tension rods (top and bottom if you don't like them flying in the breeze). A rocker or glider or a small café table and chairs. A focus piece on an open wall (anchor, pineapple, oar, etc.). Possibly paint the window frames and railings a focus color. Hang some wind chimes. Plant vinca vines in pots along the railing and let them trail over.

Top open Hot sun most of the day. Nowhere to hang but the back would do lovely with this idea......

If you really want to try gardening, you can buy Earth Boxes, which even can have wheels on them. But the bags of soil for them would be heavy to get upstairs, you'd probably need to have a helper.

Thank you never heard of them and have now found several online.

Amazon and Wayfair have an ideal box it's raised but costly. I will inquire of my son the possibility of building something like these. Thank you two heads are better than one, especially when one is a cabbage head ( that's me) lol

make container plantings, place in a arrangement, place a bright colored outdoor carpet with a bistro set, use some tall garden decorations, attach outdoor lights, hang a wind chime

You can buy metal baskets to hold pots filled with flowers. Some fit over the railing and others attach to the rails with screws. These kind take up less floor space and don't have to be moved around.
