Rain damage from not having gutters; also no roof over back porch. Would concrete or flat rock work?

Find the source of the water and fix that. Then you will have to remove the damaged wood and replace it.

It would be best if you could remove the bottom board and replace it. Use a small pry bar to get it off and then measure the space width and length and purchase a board to fit. They will cut the board to size for you at the hardware store.

This issue is due to rain damage, that’s the source. Can’t afford to put a top over the back porch. Need gutters to redirect the down-pour. But gotta fix the damage.

Gutters and an awning would work. Anything else the wood will still get wet and rot.
