If grass dies from weed and feed how soon to plant?

Used ground work weed and feed. Husband put in spreader and it was like wet sand with lumps. He thought he could spread the lumps by hand so he did. Now we have areas that were killed. Would like to know how soon to plant grass seed and how long till it grows?

Yup, that happened to my neighbor too. Water the heck out of the lawn and try to reseed in a couple weeks. Try in a small area first to make sure the seed germinated, if so, do the rest of the spots.
weed and feed if applied correctly should not have killed the grass.....cal the manufacturer
Great solution from Naomie. Happened to me years ago. Watered like h*ll for a few weeks. Then mixed seed with topsoil and spread it over the spots. Now I use weed and feed in a hose end sprayer. No measuring, no mess, and no burn.
Water, water, water!
