How to repair shogi screen doors?

I rescued these shogi barn doors from a garage sale. The dog's ball hit it too many times and broke the wood frame pieces off. I have since lost those. Any create ideas on how to salvage these doors?

Hardware and big box stores carry square dowels that may be the same measure as the ones already there. Cut, sand and stain the same color.

A very EARLY good morning to you Sharon, I can't sleep so I thought I would see who needed answers (at 1:30 a.m. LOL) and guess which question I found? ;) So what I have for you are the directions about how to make shoji doors, which will help you to get from a lumber yard or store the correct size of wood to replace the pieces that are missing (and if you ever need to repair/replace the paper, this might be of help there too). After you finish reading this you will know how to build yourself some brand new ones from scratch ;) LOL Good Luck to you and thanks for coming to Hometalk for help

  • This would be very easy to fix, just match up the wood at your hardware store and cut it to size and glue or nail if there is one either side.
