paint over with a accent color

Make them the same color as the background color or the brown you have used in the windows.

Try shading the area around the columns with some charcoal gray paint.

make the columns slightly darker, like an ice gray. Still very light but gives some contrast

Paint the stones in that section where the columns are just a shade darker - not only will the contrast make the columns pop, but it will look more realistic since the columns would create shade behind them, which makes them darker naturally. I love this---- very artistic.

Line around them with a Sharpie Pen.

Same idea as Jacquie. Paint in some shadows behind the columns and add a glint of sunlight on the front. When the sun rose, the living were forced out of the fort, most to be killed, and a very few to tell the story. That’s what my Tx history book told me 40 years ago, and I may have forgotten specifics.
