A little watered down white glue should do the trick. Squeeze it into the seams and use a wallpaper roller (or pizza roller) to press it down.

  • I don't have any experience in this but have heard you can use simple white glue like Elmers, in a syringe to squeeze just whats needed into seems. Then go over with a roller (brayer, wallpaper roller, old credit card, etc.) to press it down. Good luck :-)

I have had this happen before. What you have to do is move the photos; wet the paper slightly at the edge with a sponge (front and back side) to get it limber enough to stick back to the wall.

When you find that the paper is become pliable, squeeze a little white Elmer's glue under the edge with your finger. It is best if you pick up a small wallpaper roller at a big box store to use to press down on the seam (you need one of these around if you have wallpaper). Wipe down with a damp cloth.

I was going to suggest just gluing them but i think you should peel the seams back very gently, then use wallpaper paste/glue and restick them. Good Luvk 👍

I use wallpaper paste. Have found the tubes of seam repair pull the drywall paper off when you remove the wallpaper.

And then you get to redo the drywall . A process I’m in right now 😡

As a retired paperhanger (30 yrs. in), I'll tell you the proper way to go about it. First, wet the area down with a sprayer bottle of water, spray under the paper .. don't get nervous that it is going further than you expected. Let it set for about a minute or two. Then with a small paint brush, get clear celulose wallpaper paste under the entire area (thin coat) and then push down with a plastic kitchen spatula scraping lightly .... paste will come out from the seam. Wash the whole area with a damp sponge or cloth. That's it. Good luck.

In New Zealand we have a glue called PVA it dries clear and I think PVA may also have a special wall paper glue for these types of repairs. Pop down to your local Hardware Store.

Selleys used to have a product called 'Stick Back' which was made for just this purpose. Not sure if it's still available. PVA glue is the same as mod podge and that would work too. Please don't use anything like Tarzans Grip or Gorilla glue. We bought a house that had a featured wallpaper wall in every room from the 1950s or 1960s. We used a steamer to remove it but there were parts that had been stuck back using something like Tarzans Grip and it was a nightmare. We ended up having to chip out the glue, plaster and all then spackle it and sand it before we could repaint.
