What are some uses for empty prescription bottles?

As we get older, we are taking more medicines. I cringe everytime we have to toss one of the medicine containers. Some are the brown transparent plastic containers and others are opaque white plastic. There are varying sizes. Ideas for practical use as well as craft ideas are welcome. Thanks.

Donate to a vet's office. Call them first to be sure they take them. Also use for screws, nails, bobby pins, rubber bands, etc. I used some larger ones to put change in for my yard sale - quarters in one, dimes in another, etc. That way I didn't have to search through the bottom of a baggie for the right coins.

thanks! I use some for change sorters (we roll it to save for vactions) but I never thought of the vet's office!

Andrea, I use one in my car to keep spare change. Quarters fit in just right....great for when you're getting food from a drive-thru. You can also use them as spare key holders. Maybe glue a small rock, etc. onto the top and place the key in it and bury in a planter or in the ground near your front door. Also, use for small amounts of shampoo, conditioner, cleanser, etc while traveling. I agree that they are good for all the little things like tacks, rubber bands Ext. My fave is the regular size bottles fit 10$ in quarters!

Coin storage? Or storage for sewing needles.

You're welcome! If you craft or do bead work they could be used for organizing those items too.
