When you are talking about uneven wall surfaces--are you talking about textured walls? You buy paint rollers with nap that matches your wall. If you have a flat wall--you buy rollers for flat surfaces, for textured walls you buy a roller with more nap to paint the textured walls.
do you have 2 different kind on material on your walls like I have paneling 1/2 way and Sheetrock the rest, I used a brush toget into the areas the roller would not go. I hope this helps.
