Plywood at least you could seal with marine poly or something to make the whole sheet more water resistant and probably is more durable.

The best would be something like marine grade plywood, it stands up to a lot, but it is really expensive. We restored a 1989 fishing boat last summer and used the treated marine plywood with no arsenic and it was getting up there price wise, I think it was around eighty five dollars a sheet for the three quarter inch we used for the flooring. For the boat it was worth it, we got a seventeen and a half foot boat with a good sized motor and trailer for about six hundred. the motor needed only minor work, the wood needed replacing on the floor, the carpet was replaced and all the vinyl and seats only needed a good cleaning. It is a really good boat and worth it. It now is worth about six to eight thousand depending on where you look. Sometimes going for the better supplies is worth it.

I agree, go for plywood and seal it
