i bought a shower curtain and drew a gigantic grim reaper on it. I then simply hung it from a clothes lines between two trees. I sat carved pumpkins in front of it and put a small spotlight on the grim reaper.
Add to it by making bats out of black trashbags and hang them from tree limbs.
Silly sting makes cool spiderwebs.... and even hot glue guns makes fun spiderwebs.
White trashbags to make ghosts. They can be hung from trees or filled with leaves to sit in the yard.
Old styrofoam can be carved to look like tombstones. (Hand paint, don't use spraypaint because it can melt the styrofoam)
You can paint a haybale (round one) to look like a pumpkin or spider (legs of the spider would be pool noodles)
