How to keep wild alley trees from growing in yard?

Are you able to get rid of the trees? You need to get rid of the seeds that come off of it if you want to not have them spread.

I cut them low and painted the stumps with brush killer made by Bayer. That is on my side of the fence. Kept them very much under control.

  I tried that plus pouring table salt on them and still nothing. My husband just said that he will try to use his reciprocating saw on them and then I'm spraying with weed killer. That helps also with the new growth. Weather is not agreeable this year tho.

  I'm going to get a brush killer from Home Depot to use on them. I won't have anything growing for quite a few years but at least my house foundation will survive. Thanks for your answers everyone

Cut as low as possible and paint full strength Round Up on the cut stumps.
