My sister has this in her yard, it comes back every year.
No idea, but is very pretty! I am looking for new shrubs, will be interested to see what it is myself. Love the vibrant color.

It is not a Camelia... and marigolds are not trees..... this looks like some variety of Pomegranate.... take the pictures and a small branch to a LOCAL nursery.... they should be able to tell you.
ask her to take a stem to a nursery to be identified because I want to grow it whatever it is....
