How to Cover exposed foundation?

We have foundation exposed on both sides of our house and a fairly big section in the back. It will be costly so I want to find something reasonable. We have a light cream colored siding. We have red brick casing in the front with an America color scheme.

What about painting it?
Have you considered faux stone or something similar. It may be more costly than your budget calls for, but the result is really nice and maintenance free. You can purchase the stone in a variety of colors. A neighbor has been doing this to their home, working as time and budget allows. It has transformed the house and its curb appeal is eye catching.
