I have a 14'x14' patio roof attached to the house facia board. The facia board is starting to root.

Before it completely collapses and the patio roof gets bent beyond repair , I would remove and correct the issue with the facia board. Any number of things could be going on that caused this issue. Will be worth it to find and fix. Good luck
No two ways about it, you will need to replace the rotted facia. Where I live, attaching to facia is not legal nor meets building code. You may need to partially dismantle the patio roof in order to do so. So sorry, better done sooner than later before something comes crashing down.
