It's a houseplant. When I first got it, backs of the leaves were red and tops were green. Now it's all red. Stem is reddish as well, very sturdy, with scale-like texture. Does somebody know how to care for it and how to replant it? It would be much appreciated

It is a begonia. I believe a "dragon wing" begonia. If it is too leggy, you can cut it back. It will send out new shoots and get thicker. Don't throw away the cuttings, you can put them in a jar of water to root and you will have new plants. It is an excellent house plant. It can be set outside in the spring/summer or planted in the ground. But, it will freeze out if left out during the winter. Also, if you put out in warm weather do not put in direct sun as it will burn the leaves. It is easy to replant. Just go up a pot size or two adding fresh soil and knocking some of the old soil off and fill in around the roots.
