I have a clay pot to hold drinking water but got a hole in transit on.

I have a clay pot that I would like to use for drinking water; unfortunately, it got about 1 to 1.5 inch hole on its wall. Any ideas on how to fix it and still use it for drinking water. I saw Sugru product and some epoxy products but not sure which will be safe and waterpoof at the same. Any ideas?
