The last time I wound my clock, the pendulum won't keep going! help!

It swings for 4 to 7 minutes, then stops. It is level on the wall. It has never done this before.

If the lock requires winding - it does not take batteries. You may have over winded it. Just keep doing the pendulum for a while so it winds down some. It may also be in need of cleaning. These old wind up clocks can be converted to battery operated clocks - if the mechanism is gone - but the clock is worthy of keeping. I had one done.
