How to correct a botched stained concrete job?

We are terribly disappointed with the stained concrete job. We expected a smooth saddle leather look and instead it is speckly and spotty. The contractor pressure washed and allowed the patio to dry overnight, then applied stain with a pump sprayer and sealed it. Did he skimp on stain? Does this have to be sandblasted to be re-done? Thank you!
Have you spoken with the contractor that did this job yet? What does your contract say? Did you pay him already? I have always put half down and pay the remaining half after the job has been done and I am satisfied with it.
Since I am on a Nook and not a desktop, the picture quality is not the best. From what I can tell, you are correct, it does look spotty. Chances are they did not apply enough stain, but it also it does depend on how well the surface was prepared before the stain was applied. Pressure washing may not have been enough.
