I recycled a couple of chandeliers by removing/clipping out all the electrical wiring, removing the candlestick portion (you'd be surprised how much of a chandelier is simply removable by unscrewing) and then using waterproof silicon and using just the head portion of a solar pathway light for the "light" and hanging it in my backyard or on my patio for ambience. Perfectly easy!

Chandeliers are made to be used indoors only. They will not be sturdy or durable enough to withstand outdoor elements year-round with any longevity.
