You could dismantle it and put a old china closet in it's place with baskets for unsightly items and display your neatly folded towels, etc. Or an armoire, add shelves or bookcase with same idea. Used all of the above are easy to find on facebook or craigslist for free or reasonable prices. Or finally have some nice doors made that swing out instead (if you can afford it)
I think if it's a small space gluing a few mirrors will be great to expand the. If not a simple accent color will allow the room to pop and then change a few of the towels and maybe a trash bin. Good luck.
You could decoupage with a pretty pattern or picture.
What if you take the doors off and replace them with louvered shutters and leave the bottom open and add baskets
I would just like to commend all those who provided answers here. Each one of you had a different and great solution for Annalisa (what a great name you have - it sounds like a famous Italian actress!). Every time I read Hometalk I am amazed at the talented and sharing spirits of (mostly, anyway) women in this country. WE ROCK!
Remove doors. Turn into shelves with baskets! Paint color of your choice.
It looks like the doors slide. Is that right? Unless cost is no consideration, I would either paint them to match the walls, so they disappear or Paint them decoratively. You could also find some nice prints that you like that are a theme and center them on each of the four doors and them paint borders around them. I just readied these prints to hang. . . they are from a calendar. Maybe there is a sport or activity or place your family enjoys, you could memorialize that on these doors in the bathroom.
Like that idea !
There is this pattern textured plain white wallpaper that I saw at a hardware store it is paintable maybe put that on the doors and paint it a color of your choice might Spruce it up
Thanks all for your wonderful ideas !!
