I can’t stand the lining...the birds- what an I use instead?

steal for their nests. Any ideas to line it with so I can put flowers in it please?

    Black plastic trash bag, doubled, poke drain holes in bottom. I would put some small pebbles in bottom then fill with soil & plant.

    I think you mean the lining in maybe a hanging basket, and it may be the dry moss that’s like straw that nurseries use. Cocoanut straw is also used. Just take it out and leave it for the birds, or throw it away. Line the pot with rocks in the bottom for drainage, then your potting soil. Something I tried last summer was to use panty hose to line my wire baskets, any size or color. They are really cheap in the discount stores. You can weave the, or stretch the waist pans over the rim of the basket to make is smoother fitting lining. The legs will only make it better for drainage, then your potting soil and plant will fill it up. You could still add rocks on top of the hose. My begonias did very well with that lining.
