Are you wanting to cut a hole in a wall, so that you can then install a window in this hole, to allow light to pass through into the room on the other side of the wall?
The first thing you need to do is to find out if this is a load bearing wall. If so, you have to brace the ceilng with a temporary fake wall before you make a cut...then you have to install a proper header and frame out the bottom.
When we see walls removed and doorways widened on TV, they make it look quick and easy. It is not impossible to do, but you have to do your homework in getting this done.
