What's best way to cover leak stain on popcorn ceiling & patch the age

    Follow these steps when covering a water stain on ceiling start by finding cause of the leak and repair the problem to prevent damage in the future purchase a spray can of stain blocking primer or sealer spray cans work better than brushes especially on popcorn or textured ceilings apply a light coat of stain blocking primer over the stain to cover it while avoiding dripping if the primer doesn’t match the colour of ceiling you may need to paint the entire ceiling once primer as dried

    Use a product especially for that by kilz. The can nozzle sprays straight up. Advice cover wall and light fixture. I just used an old piece of plastic, taped it and just moved along as I went. Cover light fixture with plastic bag. I think Walmart now carries this product. Lowes r Home Depot for sure.

    The kilz product will cover the stain unless the leak has continued.

    Popcorn ceilings usually lay on a frame. You can buy the size of tiles you need in the same color. Remember that the ceiling is probably faded a little. If it was say, white, they may be you should go with off white. Put the tile in vertically, then lay it on the frame.
