Make Your Own Magical Garden Ornament

Do you believe in magic? I do, especially when it comes to gardening. To me a garden is so much more than just weeding and planting, right?!! It's all about creating a space that enchants and delights the senses. So anytime I can make something a little special for our garden, I’m all for it. And when it's an easy make, that's so much better. Like this little wood nymph garden ornament. She must be one of my favorites.
If you'd like to make something similar all you need is this two ingredient silicone mold, cement or Plaster of Paris, duct tape, a scrap piece of wood, a hole saw and an old, well loved doll.
My Mom gave me this little doll many, many years ago and even though she's lost all her hair and fingers I can't bear to throw her away icon But she's just perfect as a mold for a wood nymph. Lay your doll onto a scrap piece of wood to make sure it fits nicely, and use a hole saw to make a hole just big enough for the doll's face to peak through.
Mix up a batch of the two ingredient silicone mold and carefully cover your doll’s face. Make sure you squish it down nicely so you can get as much detail as possible. Leave it to set for about an hour before removing the mold.
Place the mold inside the hole you cut earlier and secure with some duct tape.
Fill the mold with cement or Plaster of Paris and wait for it to set. When it's ready carefully remove the mold and your magical garden ornament is ready.
I would love to know what you think of the wood nymph. Is it something you would add to your garden? Let me know in the comments and until next time, wishing you a beautiful, magical week

Inspired? Yes I am! I also couldn't agree more with the "enchanted garden", I have a quarter of an acre that I want to do with this theme in mind! This came out beautifully and the dolls sweet face was perfect for it. Where did you get the silicone mold and can regular silicone caulk be used in the same way?

This is perfect. A beautiful idea for my garden! I’m a doll lover and have several I’ve picked up over the years and their faces would be so cute in my garden! Thank you for sharing this wonderful idea! I’m sure to have a few made up and ready to place in my flower garden by next spring!
