I want wood on the ceiling in my master bath.

I want the look of wood but it doesn’t have to be wood. Since it’s in a bathroom what’s best to use? I’m going for a farmhouse style wood ceiling. Or if we use wood how do we prep so it doesn’t mold or absorb moisture? The picture is what’s there now.

I've seen DIYers using the Pergo floor type flooring on ceilings.

Thank you, I’ll take a look at that. They do have the whitewash that I like. Good idea.

The Pergo won't work in that wet an environment. The vinyl tile will work. We used bead board on ours. Stain it anything you want and then varnish for the bathroom.

Teak wood is expensive but little maintenance and looks crazy nice, I had it in one of my houses and long for it in my present home....

There is a PVC version of bead board paneling.... it would hold up to the wet environment better.
