I use baking soda and hydrogen peroxide making it into a paste. I spread a thin layer and let sit for 5 minutes. A very small amount of elbow grease or a magic eraser with a quick rinse and it GLOWS!!!!

You can paint them - but try pressure washing first.
Are they white? I Used a magic eraser and after I rinsed, it looked like new.
