Have the bathtub professionally reglazed. I have done a number of them over the years with excellent results. Not as expensive as you might think. Fraction of the cost of replacing the tub itself.
If you can't afford to have someone come in and repair it quite yet, there are scratch repair kits available at most hardware stores.
