What type of plants to plant on dirt flood-berm?
What kinds of plants should be planted on a dirt flood-berm, that do not require alot of maintenance? Also, the plants should be the type that help hold the berm together for the long-term. Thank you.

Ground cover roses are low maintainence and will anchor the berm. (Some are called Drift roses.) They can handle a lot of water and be just fine. There are some nice color choices, have a long bloom season are pest resistant and do not require dead heading.
Vinca and lithodora are good covers too. Find native plants for your area to work in and maintainence shouldn't be too bad. Make sure you amend the soil to give the plants a great start and the beem will be stunning.
