I would get my carpets cleaned. I use Orthro Home Defense. Spray well, let dry and vacuum. You will have to also treat your yard for fleas. You may have to spray a few times because fleas hatch really quickly. Orthro works, be patient.
Sprinkle table salt all over carpets and corners leave over night vacuum up be sure to throw vacuum bag away or dump dirt into a bag throw away.
Hi Patsy, Here's a link that may help: https://pestkill.org/insect/fleas/
When I bought my current home, it was flea infested. I had to get rid of all the carpeting in the house.
Good luck!
I used a mixture of 20 Mule Team Borax and powered carpet freshener. Sprinkled and worked the mixture into the carpet. Vacuumed an hour or so later to get rid of the adults. The mixture works it way into the carpet and when the eggs hatch, the larvae eat the borax and die. Might take a couple of doses but it works. Then once a week, sprinkle the borax down again and vacuum. We had indoor/outdoor dogs and cats and never had a problem after we started doing this.
Orthoborate powder; ( FleaBuster) sweep into carpet, under furniture, on fabric furniture ( crevices between cushions, etc. ) Bayer shrub and lawn for the yard.
