I need ideas to use up about 100 red bricks. Any suggestions?

Most of them are whole but some are broken. I had been thinking of a base for my BBQ grill.

Thank you, Janet, what a lot of ideas there. I have been thinking of a herringbone pattern but I think I will look closer on the site first.

Ooo that’s a great idea! I linked you to this video on You Tube only because I didn’t know what type bbq you meant. There are several other styles.

also you could build a bird bath, (maybe)

and combined with wood a bench.

    Good Luck ☘️!

Nice video, they did a lot of work. I do have a birdbath I could highlight instead. Love these ideas and the time you spent looking for them. Fun forum.

We had a Weber grill years ago that was in great shape, except the legs fell apart. We had bricks laying around and we made an open cube at the right height and set the grill in it. It rested on the handles and was easily removed to get rid of ashes that fell into a pan in the bottom of the cube. We used this for years and even moved with us until it just got too old and started going bad.

Nice visual! I just bought a simple square bbq, cheaper than Weber but good enough.

  • Remember for fire areas you need heat resistant bricks which don't break apart when heated.

I live in East San Diego so no fires except grills, coals or propane. Thanks for the reminder.
