we are renovating a weekend house in Galveston and exposed shiplap on the walls that we want to leave and paint from green to white. What is most effective and efficient way to paint the walls. I am planning to prime where nail heads are to prevent bleed through withbsalt air.

Hubby is a sprayer person and I am a roller chick. Both work and get the job done sort of personal preference.

I would think a sprayer would be best due to the uneven and rougher texture.

Sprayer would be easiest I use a paint brush which is labor intensive but all those grooves and uneven wood are hard to fill with a roller.

We used a roller and brush on the edges on ours - it was easy and the best part about shiplap is that it is imperfect.

Sprayers are great paired with a brush.Do a quick brush along seams of the shiplap then spray away! It's quick and easy.

Which ever method you use, it will be the prep work that makes all the difference. So lightly sand, spackel and clean before you begin.
