I wanted to do something fun for the 4th of July with solar lights so here is the latest garden addition. This is so simple and quick to make!

Just a sneak peak at finished project... just as the day is ending.. lights are lit and my red, white and blue are glowing.
Gather your supplies... I found the red and blue jars w.silver hangers included icon , solar lights, and already had a clear jar, glue and wire.
I purchased canning jar lids and just used the rims and painted them metallic silver . This was the longest part of project just waiting for them to dry
The solar light is almost a perfect fit but still slides up and down (FYI - the Walmart $0.97 lights are smaller and will not work with rim). I added about 3 layers of just cellophane tape (nothing high tech) around the circumference to give an edge and make the fitting tight. I sat it flat and added the gorilla glue to seal the light to the rim in hopes of waterproofing. Next rain will provide the test.. (it worked!)
Next I added wire for hanging and eyeballed distances. I wished they were more in a line but it is okay.
This is with a flash just to show colors and light....

Thank you Jennifer! It is so easy to make. Just wanting to find more of the red and blue jars but I may make my own in next project.
