I knew this oak end table with built in magazine rack needed color, and my go to color is teal. Country Chic paint offered a free sample last month and I wondered if I could paint the whole thing with one sample.. here is the reaults
here is the end table pre paint.. BORING!!!
With lots of storage including the built in magazine rack I knew it would be a no brainer to paint pretty.
The sample of teal paint from country chic called spirited, a limited edition color, covered the whole thing, it did need a bit of water to stretch it but I was pleased to get 2 coats on and a nice coverage.
The entire piece was minimally distressed then Country Chic clear wax and antiquing wax was hand rubbed all over for a deepened teal color with an aged effect.

I did paint the inside of the magazine rack Fusion cranberry for a fun pop of color and to extend my teal paint just a bit further.
I spray painted the hardware a fun copper spray paint from Krylon to update it and add fun.

See the linked blog post below for more detailed instructions on how I got this piece made over.
