When I bought the patriotic fabric I had no idea what I was going to do with it. I just knew I didn’t want to make a pillow. Then it hit me! I would turn bouncing balls into decorator spheres by wrapping them in the material.
The first step is to spray paint the ball so the bright colors don’t show through the fabric.  Chose a color that will match the background color of the material.
While the paint is drying, create a pattern so the material can be cut in a football like shape.  Once I figured out the pattern, I cut out 5 pieces of fabric.  It may be more or less depending on the size of the ball.
To stick the material on the ball brush Mod Podge along the middle of the wrong side of the fabric.   For the next step, clip the material in two places at the curved part of the ball.  Apply more Mod Podge over and under. Smooth the fabric around the ball.  Repeat until the ball is covered with the material.
I made four.  Well, the first one didn’t turn out so good, but the next three did.  Now I can make decorator spheres to fit the seasons and holidays.
