Ideas for shading outdoor AC unit from direct 100+ deg Sun?

My guest house AC unit out doors is in direct sun light all day & cant cool the apt in 100+ deg heat all day. Need ideas to build or buy shade protection from west blistering heat!?

I think I’d make or find a box frame at least 6” larger all around than your unit. Just the frame, out of wood or pvc, no real sides. Piece of wood or tile for the top for stability, particularly re wind and rain.

I would cover it with this solar “fabric” leaving openings on the edges and at the back for air movement.

Make tube ends (like curtains) to slide your supprt through with staples and duct tape for reinforcement. If your frame is wood, just staple.
