How do I make a mirror out of a piece of glass?

I’ve heard that people can make mirrors out of glass they have at home. I have this thing at home that I wanna turn into a medicine cabinet kinda thing & would like that front piece to be mirrored. The only mirror paint I have seen or heard of is “mirror effect“. Is that the same?? My phone is being difficult & won’t let me take pics & regular camera batteries are dead - so I can’t show u the thing.

It will never be the same as a professionally silvered mirror, but if that is not a concern this is the way to go.

The back of the glass is usually covered by “silvering”. Look up the how to do to re silver....I’ve done it...about 10 yrs ago.
