Bicarbonate of soda and the cheapest coka cola you can find it as more acid in it use mop to take out as much water from your toilet as it can bicarbinate in first then coke and borax a tablespoon leave to soak for one house then rinse as usual

pumis stone works as well, it wont scratch the toilet, but you still have to bring the water level down
The best results I have had recently was to soak a bunch of paper towels with Lime Away and put it on the ring and let it sit.... then clean as ususal

If you can't clean it with abrasives or bleach, you could try a pumice stone. It will remove a stained ring in your toilet.
The best way to lower the water in a toilet bowl is by getting a pail of water and holding it up approx 4feet high, pouring it into the bowl quickly, and the water will lower. Then follow with Marty's suggestion of soaking paper towels with lime away and laying it on the stain that you have to get rid of. (Don't forget to do Under The Rim also). The amount of time leaving it on depends on how tough the stain is. If lime away does not remove all of the stain, I then recommend a scrubbing with baking soda.
Hi Sharrah,
Have you tried a pumice stone? It works great for me
