How to secure wood to stucco wall without drilling.

I'm a renter, so I can't alter the outside of the house, but I want to build a catio on the back patio. The house already has a latticed overhang for shade, which I will use for the frame, but each side of the catio will terminate at a stucco wall. I need to secure the catio so the cats won't get out, but without doing any damage or change to the house itself. Any ideas?

    Liquid nails might work

Never heard of that. I'll have to look into that. Thanks

Hi Teri- Try some fencing posts driven into the ground at the edge of the patio as close as possible and attach what you want to those - hope this helps!

Thanks - unfortunately that would not be possible. I'll try to post photographs tomorrow. It's too dark to take them now. Thanks again. :-)

How about exterior velcro applied to the stucco, and the other side to pet proof screening. Zip ties work well.

If your putting it on a patio why not just build a free standing one with four sides and a door.... you can build a ramp and/or cat door to the outside catio.

I've already built an 8-foot one for the front window, but they need something bigger. While I could build a freestanding one, utilizing the frame already in existence for the overhang will enable me to get it done sooner because it reduces the cost. But thank you for your suggestion.

    Teri,

Wondering what you ended up doing with your catio. I want to screen in my 2nd floor deck for my kitties, but I'm facing the same challenge you had with attaching the pet screen to a stucco wall. Did you figure it out? Thanks.
