Chain link may be a viable option depending on size of yard. We have almost two acres. We wanted the dogs to be able to completely protect house and to access shade from the woods. We used an underground wire system that our Vet recommended. It’s worked great for the last four years. It took a couple weeks for one to get the idea she would get shocked. Now I have to let them tell me when the batteries are dead on their receivers. The only negative is it allows other critters like coyotes and lose dogs in but our girls don’t mind and I don’t intervene with them and canines. It works better that way. It makes mowing and trimming a lot easier

Hi there, Do you have tree all around your yard? if so you could secure Chain link fence or chicken wire fence onto the trunks with Wire inside tree Ties or Hosepipe. Or you could weave Rope in and out the trees or in fact any Roll of Bamboo - Tarpaulin - Brushwood etc.) YOU COULD USE OLD PALLETS and Posts etc..........Hope that's of some help to you.

  • Unfortunately chain link is out of the question because of the HOA rules. I’ve looked into wood fences, but was looking for a way to do a wood fence that wouldn’t require digging holes and concrete. Thank you everyone for your suggestions!!

    • Any fence will require post holes and digging. Only option would be an electric fence with shock collars. Personally I am extremely opposed to them regardless of their popularity. I rescue animals and if you have seen some of the things I have, you would agree. Best would be to walk the dogs until you can decide what to do.

So, no T-posts and welded wire because of HOA? That would disappear in the surrounding trees.

What chat gravel, framed in with garden ties, use Lyme dusted on the gravel to help maintain odor and you will also get able to clean up their poop easily thus preventing the old, oops look what you stopped in issue..😁💩🙀
