What’s the best paint for repainting my bedroom furniture?

It’s real wood, at least 40 years old, and was stripped and stained about 18 years ago. I’m thinking I want white, slightly distressed.

Chalk paint needs no prep work. You can choose from a variety of colors and it looks so nice finished. But you will have to wax it when it’s been painted to try to keep it from chipping. I did my wooden bathroom cabinets in two bathrooms and they came out really nice. Good luck.

Annie Sloan is wonderful! Found at designer boutiques. Most of the places have a ton of painted samples with different wax finishes - so you can see what the end product looks like. I see Magnolia has a chalk paint line at Target but have not tried it.

I recently read a comparison between Annie Sloan and home depot’s Brand of chalk paint and they were close to equal in comparison with Home Depot / lowes brand coming out slightly ahead and the price is much better.

I use Maison Blanche. I love all of their products! I have painted everything from kitchen cabinets to all different types of furniture with this brand! They have a large selection of paint colors, wax and varnish. I’ve included the link for you to take a look. https://maisonblancheco.com

I forgot to mentio, a quart goes a long way too! I painted a large dresser, night stand, and a full size bed with wooden rails and only used a little over half of a quart!
