Hi Cmi, try mixing an equal parts mixture of salt, flour, and white ( not apple cider) vinegar. Leave it on for about an hour and then rinse and dry well with a soft cloth. Brass can develop tarnish if the clear coating is worn off so after cleaning it you may want to ask a jeweler about possibly having it resealed if it is a precious piece.
Hello there, Try soaking it in Coca cola overnight, or use Brasso and soft cloths. Looks as if it could be interesting ...........
I use Brasso if they still make it .at Wal-Mart and groceries stores .still have a small can .wipe the liquid on let dry wipe off .takes a lot of rubbing .also there is tarnish sold at Wal-Mart .Good luck .
Thank you very much. I’ll try
you sugestioms. 😊
Don't use Brasso or any polish. It removes some of the metal. It can hurt the engravings. Two ways I would handle it. I would slather ketchup on the bowl. Let it set for several minutes. Then wipe and rinse. May need to reapply. I sell a lot of stuff on Ebay. I use white (not gel) toothpaste to clean a lot of items. A damp cloth or damp toothpaste. A dab of toothpaste on the cloth and gently rub in a circular motion. For the engravings you may need to use a damp toothbrush.

I use a product called Wenol for all metals. You can order it through Amazon. Just google: Wenol, it's made in Germany and the best product I have ever tried to polish any type of metal, jewelry, hub caps. Works great!
Thanks I’ll check it out.
