There are small fruit fly looking bugs in my raised veggie bed

Some of my tomatoe plant leaves are turning yellow, have holes in them. Please advise as to what natural spray I can use to rid my garden of these pests

There are tons of recipes for diy pesticides on google or Pinterest if it’s really bad but two easy ones I know of are eucalyptus oil and cayenne pepper. Both are fairly cheap and you can sprinkle either of them on the dirt around the plants and within a couple days they should lose interest. Our Tomato plants are growing in a dog kennel to keep the darn squirrels out lol

Thanx Kari! Do you have an idea what kind of bugs they could be? Possibly aphids maybe? I didn't know squirrels would be interested in tomatoes! Lol!

    Hi Kari,

What i would do is get some companion plants for my tomatoes, marigolds are the best for them. Plant them next to the tomatoes and you'll soon see the difference. No spray needed!
