I love to take and item that usually would go into the recycle and make it into something new and fun. That is exactly what I did with these 3 tubes; pringles can, paper towel roll, and packing tube. I turned them all into a 4th of July firecracker home decor decoration with a little felt and foil!
Start with a few tubes that you have around the house, any size and height will work! Also grab some glue, felt, Rinea Foiled Paper, and scissors!
I cut out 2 stars for the top of each of the tubes and sandwiched the wooden skewer between with glue and added a silver star cut form the Rinea foiled paper on it.
This tube I wrapped in blue felt and added more cut out starts of felt and foil then added a pompom trim to the top.
Cutting out the stars in felt and the foil is super easy, check out how to do it here!
For the next tube, i made it look like an American Flag. I started with a white felt base, added red strips, and then added the blue felt section a the top with little foil stars glued on.
The last tube has a red base and a spiral of blue felt cut with pinking shears all around it. I added some pretty little blue and clear gems all around it too!
This is a fun and EASY decor piece that you can make for this this 4th of July, Memorial Day, or even Veterans day - or really when ever you want to have the american spirit! Pop on over to my BLOG for a few extra tips and additional pictures!
