Yes but it’s better to water in the morning to get the most out of your water usage
Using a drip/soaker hose at ground level, yes. Applying water at ground level in pots, yes. Otherwise, you'll risk burning the leaves and wasting water due to evaporation, if you water above the plants.
It's best not to. I water either early morning or late evening. Sometimes both if it is very hot out for days. If you must water during thereat of the day, try to water at the base of the plant so the leaves and blooms won't cook or burn.
Hello there, Best to water at Dusk or early morning, but you can water when the sun's out but only water the soil as if you water the foliage it will act like glass and burn.
As long as you water at soil level, to avoid sunburning the leaves, you should be ok.
Keep the water off the plant leaves. Early morning works well.
We live in AZ... we water out door plants in the evening just before sunset... some we water every day (those is pots) and some every other (vegetable garden) and some every third (trees, rose bushes, etc) some once a week (cactus)... this is in the summer months.... in the winter we water less often
best to water early in the a.m. --- or after they get in the shade ... two reasons -- early a.m. will give them something to 'run' on all day, and at night gives them a chance to relax and not be stressed/in a hurry to replenish moisture. Water in the heat of the day ONLY if they are seriously wilted ... and then try not to wet the leaves .... in fact, always water from the bottom if possible.
