Muffin Tin and Succulents--No Baking Required
I was looking through the Hometalk project books and saw one using old baking tins. I was toying with the idea of a succulent wreath when this idea just popped into my head.
Who needs two of these when you no longer bake?
I already had a collection of Dollar Store succulents
I purchased moss because I thought I should have a filler around the pots.
I wanted to use up the rest of this tube of Marine Goop.
I organized my succulents. I think I have a colorful selection.
After gluing down each pot with the marine goop (this is going outside so I didn't use hot glue) I started putting on the moss. I was using the marine goop and it got very sticky. I think if I make another one I would put the moss first and then tuck in the pots afterward. I would also try to find only dark pots which would make it easier to hide them. I used the whole bag of moss. When I tilted it up I could see where I missed filling in so I touched up with more bits of moss.
A bonus. My tin has a predrilled hole for hanging.
I took a length of jute and fed it a few times through the hole and made a loop for hanging and then I tied a bow and also knotted off the ends of the jute.
Ready to find a spot to hang . . .
