What do you have room work with? A niche? Spare bedroom? Bedroom that needs to serve multiple purposes? A spare closet? And how much storage do you need? In my house, I used a spare bedroom. Not owning a computer, I have a lot of paper! See if this is what you are looking for and helps you!

Years ago, while working from home, I obtained a variance for a home run business. The variance was for 10% of my home to be zoned as a business. I dedicated a finished porch to my business and ran it from there for years, until I went to work for another company. If you are looking for personal use, is there a room that is rarely used, like a bedroom that is for guests or storage? A formal dining room? A hallway that collects clutter? I recently saw a home office that was located in a formal dining room. Two buffets contained all of the files, paperwork, etc. She worked from a laptop with wifi like I do. Sometimes, once you know what you need it for, the space becomes more visible. Figure out your must haves.
It really depends on what kind off "office" space you need.... to work from home... or just to pay bills....
My "office" is set up in a spare space we call the library a room just off our master bedroom....
My desk is one of the Expedit series from IKEA.... the new version is called KALLAX both versions use accessories to fit the cells... drawers, doors, baskets or bins... and the cost is quite reasonable
It works because it has storage space and the top is wide enough that 2 people could work from it....
Hi Bet! Nice to meet you also. Hope the advice helps!
