I feel so sorry for you guys, we think of you all the time up here in Gauteng. The top one looks like it would make a lovely planter. Maybe add a few succulents or other drought tolerant plants? I don't know if you enjoy making fairy gardens, but the bottom one's shape immediately made me think of something fairy-ish. Good luck and stay warm, that cold front you guys are having has just hit us and it's freezing up here

Thank you Michelle, yes we are freezing...but who is complaining. Yes I am looking at something fairy-ish as my granddaughter of 11 is going to tackle this project and loves gardening and fairies. Enjoy the cold

You could break up an old mirror or get some cheap ones, glue them down, then grout with whatever color suits you (I prefer black).

Thank you for all your input and advice. We have decided to make a smurf village with the bigger feature and a artificial "sea" with blue colored resin with walk ways, stones and rocks. Now I have the smurf houses (too cute), nice rocks and stones. My question is how do I make the layers in the big feature (not the flat one), so that the houses are spread out inside it. I tried googling it but to no satisfaction am I getting the info I want. I even tried to imagine the picture in my head. Please help me!
