Our front porch is tongue and groove boards. The paint is peeling up and it needs repainting any suggestions on how to solve this problem without a huge expense?

Grouting or binder on pavers on corner of our step down porch area appear to be getting washed out. How can I prevent the damage from spreading and repair correctly.

Can you use a cement board (I.e. Hardie board, Duroc) on top of the original countertop and seal it to get a "cement" countertop? If so, will it be heat resistant?
